Carpe Diem

Seize the Day and set sail with us, casting off all moorings.

We are Jan and Anouschka Doddema from Drachten, and we've been sailing all our lives. Since the spring of 2022, you can find us with guests on our ship, the Carpe Diem, on the Frisian waters. We came up with the idea to make our ship available for rental as skipper and crew, specifically for small groups, accommodating approximately 8/9 guests (maximum). We pamper our guests, just as we would like to experience it ourselves; think of it as a private cruise, tailored to your needs.

When you join us, we'll be waiting for you. We welcome you on board with fresh coffee and tea and a delicious piece of oranjekoek from the bakery.

While you enjoy your coffee, Anouschka and Jan will cast off and set sail, something we love to do the most. We'd love to take you on a journey over the Frisian waters towards the Alde Feanen of Eernewoude and/or to Grou and Snits (Sneek), depending on the time available, of course.

Your journey is tailor-made and exclusive to you. That means we know what you like, what you enjoy most, and what you don't. We'll serve the wine you prefer or that special beer, leaving nothing to be desired, including the snacks and lunch, of course.
